Describe a turning point in your life {#vlogmoms}

A good depiction of what was left

I love today’s #vlogmoms question! It comes from Jennifer Gerlock – Describe a moment in your life (other than the birth of your children) that changed you for the better forever.

I have actually written about this story in my post about changing a flat tire, but every time I have a chance to relive these moments, I am reminded that I am never really alone. God is with me and guiding my steps even when I feel like crap. It’s nice to remember that from time to time, so thanks Jennifer for the great question!

I hope you enjoy watching and I would love to hear about a turning point in your life! Leave a comment or link up with your own video!

What a great story! So funny, while you are were on the side of the road, I was unloading my car and setting up my sophomore year dorm room!

And I hit submit too early! I am totally in awe of you for this. At that age, I guess I wouldn’t have had a choice but to do the same thing but I would have FREAKED out. Totally awesome that you did it.

Changing my very own tire for the first time by myself was so scary, yet so empowering!!!!! Good for you!!!

Whoa…I had a very similar story when I went to college. I so vivdly remember venturing out by myself for the first time from CA to AZ and it was so scary when my old Pontiac broke down. However, it was also exhilerating to be able to take care of it. I share your sense of pride in that rite of passage :)

I am not all that proud to admit that I have never changed a tire. I would have had a mini-meltdown too but I likely would have looked for the owners manual and tried it on my own. I don’t know if I would have been successful, but your story reminds us we need to try! Have faith.

Love it…I can be as strong as I need to be. Powerful reminder that we can do anything when pushed.

I’ve had times when I’ve wanted to just take off driving, but never have. My dad showed me how to change a tire when I bought my first car, but I’ve never actually done it. Major kudos to you! Love the phrase, “I can be strong when I have to be.”

I’ve never changed a tire, either. Terrified that something like that would happen to me. Independence is definitely found at different parts of people’s lives.

Very uplifting story, Andrea!
