When I planned my wardrobe for Blogher, I knew I wanted to have some fun but not at the expense of my comfort. I opted for flats during the days and wedges at night and basically made sure all my bits and pieces were tucked in. I thought that I tried to take at least one picture of each outfit. Yet I somehow ended up with seriously sub-par phone pics.
There are a few really great pro photos floating around out there, but I don’t yet have permission to post them here. So for now my iphone shots will have to do
Thursday Night: This was a fun/party night. I had several places to go and I wanted to be comfortable. The dress was a Target find for less than $10. The belt is Target as well on clearance for $3 and I got the shoes half price at a local shop called Clothes Hound. I LOVE my shoes and I just have to say that the wedges are made of foam! They are so lightweight it’s criminal. They feel like I am walking on one of those bouncy playground floors.
Friday Day: This was my big day of volunteering. I knew I wanted to be comfortable behind the registration desk. I actually wore wedges in the morning but I changed into my havaianas at lunch time to give my feet a break. I never took them off. Pants are Target and you’ve seen this shirt before! It’s a Francesca’s find.
Friday evening: I had big plans for this night, but I was tired and wanted to be comfortable. I knew I would be sitting in a movie theater and the idea of having to cross and uncross my legs in a dress all night didn’t do it for me. The teal pants are from (drumroll please…) Target! Top is from the Gap and my necklace is Stella and Dot from Blogher10!
Saturday Day: This was probably the cutest I felt all weekend aside from Thursday night. Everything just worked and I was so comfortable. I had a belt to wear over the sweater (love that look) but it was suddenly too big when I tried to wear it that day. NOT COMPLAINING. Everything is Target except the shoes, which are by Chinese Laundry. Oh and the necklace that you can barely see is from Peru. (Angry Birds notwithstanding)
Saturday Night: This was another party night and also the last night, so I needed to step it up a bit. Thankfully I brought “The Shankman” so I was totally at ease all evening. This dress is from Marshall’s. The shoes are several years old.
I completely spaced on pics of my travel days, but hey this was pretty good. 5 crappy photos instead of one! Movin on up folks.
Did you go to Blogher? Did you go for comfort or style? (Or both?)
